For JCE Biennale 2019 - 2021, the Latvian team have decided to add an experiment with a propose of novelty seeking: charged with selecting 8 emerging Latvian artists, the jury will reserve one position for emerging curators from Latvia. The curator is no longer just an expert charged with educating a public about the content of a given collection. He journeys, with his practice, into fields often beyond the perimeter of art.
